Back in October 2023, I was lucky enough to join News 3 Las Vegas (KSNV) for a segment called “Wedding season in Las Vegas.” I was there alongside Melody Willis-Williams, President of Vegas Weddings, and it was a real pleasure to sit next to someone who knows this industry so well.
It’s always wedding season here
The segment opened with a line I couldn’t agree with more: in Las Vegas, it’s always wedding season. People come here to get married every month of the year, from every corner of the world, for every reason you can think of.
But as News 3 pointed out, October has its own charm. The station said October “brings especially fun themes to play off of” for couples thinking about getting married here, and the segment invited Melody and me in to talk more about it.
Why I love a themed wedding
I’ll be honest: I’m a complete wedding nerd, and themed weddings are some of the most fun I get to be part of. In Las Vegas, couples feel free to lean into what they love, whether that’s something a little spooky, something glamorous, or something completely over the top. No one tells you there’s a “right” way to do it here.
What I always try to remember is that underneath the costumes and the decorations, it’s still two people making promises to each other. My job is to make sure the fun and the meaning sit side by side. The theme can be as playful as you like, but the moment when you look at each other and say your vows should still feel real.
